President Obama announced Thursday that he will send 300 "military advisers" to Iraq in the coming weeks to gather intelligence and assist the Iraqi government in its effort to control a Sunni militant group that is quickly taking territory and making itself known. A senior U.S. official said the first of the teams will begin their mission in Iraq "very soon."
