Dodgers Hit Four Homers in 10-2 Rout of Reds

The Great America "Small" Park lived up to its name.

Cody Bellinger, Joc Pederson, and Yasiel Puig all homered as the Los Angeles Dodgers routed the Cincinnati Reds, 10-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Great America Ball Park.

Yasiel Puig hit a pair of home runs, his second multi-homer game of the season as the Dodgers handed the Reds their eighth consecutive loss.

The game was tied at 1-1 until L.A. broke it open in top of the third. The inning started with Reds manager Bryan Price getting ejected and the Dodgers smelled blood.

Hyun-Jin Ryu reached base on an error, Corey Seager walked, and then Chris Taylor brought them both home with an RBI double to left field.

One batter later, Cody Bellinger hit a two-run home run on the first pitch he saw from Asher Wojciechowski and Joc Pederson followed with a home run of his own as the Dodgers went back-to-back.

Bellinger's homer was his team-leading 19^th of the season, tying Gary Sanchez for the most home runs through a player's first 48 games of his career.

"I had heard about this ballpark and I thought my swing would do well here," Bellinger told reporters after the game. "I thought I hit one in my first-at bat, but I definitely got one in my second. I'm not sure if those go out at home."

The home run to Pederson was the last pitch Wojciechowski would throw as he left the game the loser, allowing six runs on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts in just two and 1/3 innings.

The loss was Wojciechowski's first of the season in five appearances.

Puig hit solo shots in the sixth and eighth innings to extend the Dodgers lead to 9-2, and guarantee the Dodgers their seventh straight win over the Reds.

Ryu (3-6) got the win, allowing two runs on eight hits with two walks and seven strikeouts in five innings of work. The Korean left-hander improved to 3-1 against the Red in his career.

"It was a difficult game," Ryu told reporters of his start. "I tried to limit the damage and not give up too many hits in a row. I guess I did a good job in that regard."

Every position player had a hit for Los Angeles and all nine starters reached base safely in the game.

Seager went 2-for-2 with a double, three walks and an RBI. Bellinger finished 3-for-5 with a double, home run, three RBI and two runs scored.

Relief pitcher Josh Ravin made his 2017 debut with two scoreless innings to end the game.

Before the game, the Reds unveiled a statue for legendary alumni Pete Rose who was also denied entry into the Hall of Fame earlier this week.

Rose stood in the batter's box during the ceremonial first pitch and fans in attendance received a replica statue of the man known as "Charlie Hustle," diving head first into first base.

The Dodgers are a season-high 17 games over .500, but still trail the Colorado Rockies for first place in the National Leage West after the Rockies beat the Giants, 5-1 at Coors Field earlier in the day.
