A man who crashed a truck into the pool at a Simi Valley Motel 6 was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, police said Saturday morning.
Just after 2 a.m., police responded to the Motel 6 at 2566 Erringer Rd. and found a truck in the pool, according to a statement from the Simi Valley Police Department. When units arrived, they found the driver and a passenger at the scene.
Police say the driver exited the eastbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway at Erringer Road before crashing through a fence and into a pool.
"Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver for misdemeanor DUI," police noted in the statement. Sergio Garcia, 39, of Moorpark was booked at the Ventura County Jail.
