Yosemite National Park announced Tuesday that it will be temporarily closed due to unhealthy smoke conditions amid the recent fires.
The park, including Yosemite Valley, Wawona Road, the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and other areas are temporarily closed due to smoke impacts and firefighting operations along El Portal Road and Wawona Road.
Other areas, however, are open, but visitors are advised to drive with caution. These areas include Highway 120 West, Highway 120 East and campgrounds along Tioga Road, High Sierra Camps and Tuolumne Meadows.
The park will remain closed through Sunday, August 5, 2018.
