A young boy suffering from cancer had two wishes on his bucket list: to ride a firetruck and see snow.
The Garden Grove Fire Department, along with the Garden Grove Firefighters Association, Operation Be Kind and the OC Drive joined together to make Joshua’s wish come true.
Doctors estimate that the young boy has about 4 months left to live, and the Garden Grove Fire Station #6 wanted to add something a little extra to Joshua’s surprise.
They found out he was a huge fan of Batman and were able to arrange to have Batman arrive on the fire truck to surprise the young boy.
Joshua and his family were able to ride on the firetruck for a few miles and with Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones.
Due to his medical treatments, Joshua was not able to properly celebrate his birthday in January.
Upon returning from their ride on the fire truck, there was a birthday celebration for Joshua along with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.
