    Gov. Brown Declares Drought

    Gov. Jerry Brown asked Californians to cut back on water usage by 20 percent as he declared a drought emergency in the state. Among other things, the declaration enables the state to expedite transferring water to farmers while allowing Cal Fire to hire more firefighters.
