Big Ups for Cups at Silver Lake Jubilee

BYOC (Bring Your Own Cup), please.

Will cups soon be jangling off belts, a la house keys and cell phones?

Maybe. It's a cool look. Very take charge. Very "I can have a sip of something refreshing whenever I darn well please." And we're guessing there will be plenty of belts holding cups at the Silver Lake Jubilee, which happens on Saturday, May 22 and Sunday, May 23 along Myra Avenue (the stretch that runs from Santa Monica to Fountain).

BYOC is one of the asks of the two-day festival. No bottled water will be sold, so best show with your own drinking vessel.

When you're not re-hydrating, you'll likely be listening to a whole happy mess o' bands, like Foreign Born and The Growlers and The Entrance Band. There will be dozens of booths to eat at, and dozens more to get info and/or interesting stuff at.

Show with cash for the comestibles/buyables, show with $5 for admission, if you're over the age of 10, and show with that cup. We're thinking something alma-mater-ish, or a vintage tin job, will be just the thing. Just make sure it is light enough to be a belt-dangler. Since you'll want to be at the vanguard of a new fashion trend.
