Waiting for the individual tickets to a well-attended, always star-studded cultural series to finally go on sale is a wait a lot of big city denizens know all about.
Hollywood Bowlers have a certain Saturday around early May penciled in. And people who love UCLA Live know that those per-person tickets go on sale right when summer starts to wind down. (Of course, there's a lot of crossover between the two groups, we realize; helpful, then, that their seasons don't really intersect all that much.)
Tickets for the 2010-2011 UCLA Live season went on sale on Monday, Aug. 9. Who's ahead? Maya Angelou in February. John Waters a few days after Ms. Angelou. Oh! And the Onion editors early in the month. February is looking mighty entertaining 'round Royce Hall.
But of course the season extends for many months, so check out the schedule. John Cale appears at opening night on Thursday, Sept. 30.
