Clearly we're going to need to get our rest, eat our greens, put cold cucumbers on the eyes and breathe deeply. It's turning out to be one very artwalk-y weekend, what with the LACMA/Miracle Mile stroll on May 30 and all those Wilshire-close galleries.
But not far away from the LACMA-centered to-do, at the same time on the same day, is the ARTWALK Culver City. Can we do them both? Yes. Are we certainly going to try? Definitely. Here's why: Sony Pictures, KCRW, and MOCA are the sponsors -- impressive -- and all those beautiful, interesting, mind-challenging galleries dotting the Culver area are open for a little free look-see-ing. Some 40 galleries will be waving walkers in during the day.
Oh, and live jazz. And the eat-it-up-yum Green Truck. And Culver City, with its long history, brick-ish, deco-y buildings and walkable vibe. So yes, May 30 is looking all-out artwalk-ish, but we're going to do both Miracle Mile and Culver City. MM and CC. Focus. Breathe. We're there... Saturday, May 30. Noon-8PM
