A shooting Saturday in downtown Los Angeles left one man dead, authorities said.
It was reported at 2:17 p.m. in the Gas Company Lofts at 810 South Flower St., Los Angeles Police Department Lt. Mark Green said.
The man was found lying in the hall on the building's second floor and died at the scene, Green said.
Officers set up a containment perimeter and with help from SWAT team members were searching the building for suspects, he said.
It took several hours to search the large building but no suspect was found, Green said.
