Several Injured in Glendale Apartment Fire

Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire Wednesday night at an apartment building in Glendale that left several people injured, officials said.

The fire was reported at around 1:28 a.m. and was extinguished at 1:48 a.m. in the 1130th block of North Columbus Avenue, according to the Verdugo Fire Department.

It was unknown how many units in the apartment were affected. One apartment home had extensive damage to the kitchen area.

It was unclear how many injuries were reported.

One person was taken to the hospital, officials said. The status of their condition was unknown.
