Two men were stabbed after leaving church in Azusa on Sunday, police said.
The men left Praise Chapel Azusa and got into a fight with another person down the street in the 600 block of East 5th Street, which escalated into a stabbing, Azusa police Sgt. Bruce Badoni said.
Service at the church ended before 1 p.m. Moments later, the pastor said the two men returned with stab wounds. One of the men collapsed in the parking lot and the other made it to the church entrance.
"Praying with him and talking to him until the paramedics and the police officer came, and just stood by his side with several of our members, " said the pastor, who did not want to be identified.
Both men were hospitalized in critical condition.
There was no information on the attacker.
