Caught on Camera: Masked Man Robs Orange County Gas Station

Surveillance video shows the man taking cash from the register and holding a stun gun up to the cashier's neck

    Surveillance video captured a masked man robbing an Orange County gas station on Tuesday, June 17, 2014.

    Orange County officials are asking for the public's help to find a masked man who robbed a Laguna Niguel gas station early Tuesday.

    The robbery happened about 1 a.m. at an Arco AM/PM gas station 27491 La Paz Road, according to a release by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

    A YouTube video (shown below) posted by the department shows the man walking into the gas station, taking cash from the cash register and holding a stun gun to the cashier’s neck.

    The man then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash, officials said. No vehicles were seen.

    He could be seen wearing a grey and black striped hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes with a dark mask covering his face.

    The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information about the suspect to call the department at 949-425-1942 or 714-647-7000.
