Dodgers Five-Game Win Streak Snapped in 10-7 Loss to Rockies

Hyun-Jin Ryu had the worst night of his career and the Los Angeles Dodgers had their five-game win-streak snapped by the Colorado Rockies, 10-7, on Thursday night at Coors Field.

All good things must come to an end.

Hyun-Jin Ryu had the worst night of his career and the Los Angeles Dodgers had their five-game win-streak snapped by the Colorado Rockies, 10-7, on Thursday night at Coors Field.

"He wasn't sharp," Dodgers' manager said of Ryu after the game. "He was missing out over the plate. He just couldn't get that last out. We were down 7-0 before we could really get going."

Fresh off the 10-day disabled list, Ryu (1-5) allowed 10 runs (five earned), on eight hits with six walks and just four strikeouts in four short innings.

His counterpart, Jeff Hoffman, struck out eight in his first major league win. Hoffman (1-0) allowed just three runs on six hits with two walks and eight strikeouts after he was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque earlier in the day.

Carlos Gonzalez broke out of his slump in a big way with a two-hit, three-RBI night. Ian Desmond and Nolan Arenado each had two doubles as the Rockies remain in first place by 2.5 games over the Dodgers in the National League West.

The Dodgers trailed 10-0 before they rallied for seven runs in the final five frames. Trailing 10-6 in the top of the ninth, L.A. loaded the bases with no outs for Chase Utley, prompting Colorado to go to their closer Greg Holland.

"You're never out of it here," said Roberts. "That's credit to our guys. For us to get Holland in the game, that was a good thing for us."

Utley grounded into a double-play and Holland struck out Yasiel Puig to end the game.
