A Los Angeles man is charging $7 per mile to take a stroll with strangers.

A Los Angeles man is charging $7 per mile to accompany people on walks in the Los Angeles area, KPCC reports

Looking to make some extra cash, actor Chuck McCarthy thought, "I'm just going to walk people." 

McCarthy told NBC4's media partner KPCC that "The People Walker" service was designed for "people that can't coordinate with friends and family, or don't have friends and family around them, people who just need motivation, or people that just want to meet someone that's not connected to them."
