Elderly Couple Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide at Hospital in Torrance

A couple in their 70s were found dead of apparent gunshot wounds in an apparent murder-suicide at a Torrance hospital.

Police on Sunday were investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving an elderly couple at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance.
Nurses and others at the hospital heard shots in a fourth-floor room at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday and called for help, said Torrance Police Lt. Mike Jezulin.
When officers arrived, they found the couple, both in their 70s, inside the room. They had been shot with a handgun, Jezulin said.
The wife was a patient at the hospital, he said. Both husband and wife were pronounced dead at the scene.
