Roof of Abandoned Building in South LA Collapses

Officials do not believe anyone was inside the building when it collapsed.

Firefighters responded to a collapsed building in South Los Angeles on Monday afternoon. 

Aerial footage of the building, located in the 9200 block of South Vermont Avenue, showed the roof had completely caved in. 

The building has been abandoned for a while and a load-bearing wall collapsed, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 

Firefighters received the call around 4:15 p.m. 

Officials do not believe anyone was inside the building when it collapsed.
