Five people were injured Thursday night when an SUV slammed into a Metro bus in Studio City, police said.
The crash was reported around 11:40 p.m. in the 11400 block of Ventura Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Five people were injured in the collision, and one of the injured was transported to a hospital, according to the LAPD.
About 35 people were on the Metro bus when the SUV crashed into the bus head on, police said.
The driver of the SUV fled on foot after the crash, but was found and arrested near the scene of the collision, according to the LAPD.
Police said they suspect the man was driving under the influence.
