Hawthorne Plane Crash Victim ID'd

One of two people killed in a Hawthorne plane crash last week was identified by the coroner's office Monday as 90-year-old Aaron Rappaport of Los Angeles.

The other body was badly burned and has not been identified, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

On Friday, the Grumman American AA-1B crashed into a two-story townhouse less than a mile southwest of Hawthorne Municipal Airport. No one on the ground was injured.

A witness recalled hearing the small plane's engine sputtering before it plummeted and burst into flames.
