Long Beach Airport Reopens After “Security Concern”

Long Beach Airport was temporarily locked down Wednesday morning due to what authorities called a security concern.

Airport officials said the investigation involves an unattended bag, reported at about 10:30 a.m. as a possible security concern. Passengers and employees were being told to stay clear of the area.

Authorities cleared the area at about midday. It was not immediately clear whether flight schedules are affected.
