Police Seek Trio in Car-to-Car Shooting in South LA That Left Man Dead

The incident happened at around 9:45 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Compton Avenue and East 92nd Street.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding the person or people who killed a 28-year-old man in South Los Angeles on Friday night.

Joshua Johnson, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene after being gunned down in a car-to-car shooting about 9:45 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Compton Avenue and East 92nd Street, according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Johnson was sitting alone in a white Pontiac Grand Prix when a group of three in their teens or early twenties drove up, shot him multiple times from a dark sedan and drove away, officials said Saturday.

The assailants' car may have had chrome rims, and was last seen heading eastbound on 92nd Street.
