A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured Wednesday night during a shooting at an elementary school in Norwalk, deputies said.
The shooting was reported around 10:30 p.m. in the 15100 block of Grayland Avenue next to Edmundson Elementary School. When deputies arrived, they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Detectives said the victims were walking south on Grayland Avenue when a white vehicle pulled up to them. Two men got out of the car and began shooting at the victims.
Both victims were transported to a hospital where the male victim died. The woman was seriously injured but in stable condition, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
