Motorbike Rider Dies After Head-on Smash in Lancaster

The driver of a white Lexus, who was traveling north on Gadsden Avenue, made a left turn onto Avenue K into the path of the man’s Kawasaki motorcycle at around 10:15 p.m.

A motorbike rider was killed and his passenger injured after a head-on crash in Lancaster Thursday night.

The driver of a white Lexus, who was traveling north on Gadsden Avenue, made a left turn onto Avenue K into the path of the man’s Kawasaki motorcycle at around 10:15 p.m.

The rider and his female passenger were thrown from the vehicle onto the sidewalk, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

All three parties involved were taken to Antelope Valley Hospital, where the rider died.

The passenger suffered moderate, non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Lexus was treated for minor injuries.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash at this time.
