Man Wounded in Burbank Shooting

The shooting took place around 8:25 p.m. Monday.

A 22-year-old man was shot and wounded in the area of Scott Road and East Avenue in Burbank on Monday, police said. 

The shooting occcurred around 8:25 p.m. in the 1500 block of San Fernando Boulevard. Officers located a man suffering from multiple wounds to his lower body, according to Sgt. Claudio Losacco of the Burbank Police Department.

Officers located a second crime scene in front of 1600 N. San Fernando Blvd., where evidence of the shooting was found, Losacco said.

The man collapsed on the corner of Scott Road, police said. He was shot several times in the lower body. Neighbors reported hearing three gunshots.

The man was treated at the scene and was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, according to the Burbank Fire Department. 

He is expected to survive, according to Losacco.

Suspect information was not immediately available. Investigators don't know if there's any connection between the man and the suspect.
