A fatality investigation involving a man who was wielding a knife in a restaurant closed streets in Pasadena early Thursday.
Police responded to a call around 1:20 a.m. reporting a man with a knife at a fast food restaurant refusing to leave. Officers blocked off Colorado Boulevard between Holliston and Hills avenues and taped off an area surrounding part of a parking lot that appeared to be a retail area.
Authorities noticed the man was suffering from an apparent medical issue and requested paramedics to the scene, according to a police statement. The man was placed on a gurney and became unresponsive.
The man was transported to a hospital, where he died. Details regarding a cause of death were not immediately available.
