Pico Rivera Murder Suspect to Appear in Court

A murder suspect was due in a Whittier courtroom Tuesday for allegedly shooting a young man whose body was found in a shallow grave in a Pico Rivera backyard.
Robert Charles Redd, 51, was arrested Friday and was being held on $1million bail, according to the sheriff's department.
Joseph Rubalcaba died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Los Angeles County Corner.
Family members discovered the body Wednesday evening at a home in the 8500 block of Pico Vista Road where they say Rubalcaba frequented.
When no one answered the door , the relatives went to the backyard, where they discovered a freshly dug grave. They started to remove the dirt and found the body.
Police have not yet said what the motive for the shooting may have been.
