A driver in a pursuit along the 118 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley drove to speeds so dangerously high that authorities had to cancel the chase Friday night.
The man fled when the Glendale Police Department responded to his ex-girlfriend's domestic violence call at around 7:20 p.m. in the area of Colorado Street and Columbus Avenue.
The chase started around 9:35 p.m. and went from the 5 Freeway to the westbound 118 Freeway in Simi Valley, according to police.
Besides dangerously speeding, the pursuit was cancelled because the driver was a known individual and police knew where he lived.
