Oxnard police are asking any victims of an accused online child predator arrested on Aug. 30 to come forward.
The arrest came after an Oxnard resident reported that her 12-year-old daughter was having a cellphone conversation with a 23-year-old man about sex, police said.
Oscar Mora faces charges, including traveling for the purpose of engaging in sexual activities with a minor, conspiring to commit a crime, and child luring, according to a news release from the Oxnard Police Department.
Investigators have reason to believe that Mora had other victims, police said in a statement. Anyone with additional information should contact Detective Terrance Dobrosky at 805-385-7609.
Police also advise parents to be diligent about regularly checking their minor’s technological devices, such as computers, cellphones, and tablets.
