Pomona Street Flooded After Hit-and-Run Driver Shears Hydrant

A street in Pomona was flooded after a hit-and-run driver sheared a fire hydrant early Saturday.

The water started gushing at around 3:45 a.m. after a white Honda Civic crashed into a parked Ford Mustang, which slammed into the hydrant in the 700 block of East La Verne Avenue

No one injured, and witnesses saw the driver fleeing the scene

The street and a residential lawn were flooded, but Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters were able to turn the hydrant off.
