Fontana Police arrested two teenagers Saturday accused of shooting a BB gun at an ABC7 news crew.

ABC7 reporter Leanne Suter was covering a weather story in Fontana, when she was hit in the hand with a pellet.  It happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Beech Avenue near the 210 freeway.

Suter said she and her photographer jumped into their news van when the shots were fired. Suter said the suspects kept firing, hitting the van multiple times.

Officers went to the scene and arrested two teenagers, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old. They're being charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Suter was taken to a hospital to be checked out, but the injury was minor.

"We are grateful no one was seriously hurt and we are fully cooperating with police in their investigation," KABC-TV President and General Manager Arnold J. Kleiner said in a statement.
