Crews Rescue Person Along Los Angeles River

Crews safely rescued a person alongside the Los Angeles River Sunday morning, officials said.

The rescue was reported around 10:30 a.m. near the 1100 block of 4th Street in Boyle Heights. according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The person was being examined by LAFD medics and was reported to be uninjured.

A rain-swollen river could be seen across the Los Angeles area as a powerful storm was moving in on Sunday.
