A teen was shot and taken to the hospital in San Bernardino Monday.
The shooting was reported in the 6900 block of Tippecanoe Avenue at 1:45 p.m., according to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to the residential neighborhood in an unincorporated part of the county.
They found a shooting victim, described as a juvenile.
"A male teen was shot and transported to a local hospital for treatment," said Jodi Miller of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. "It sounded like he was outside of a residence. But it’s unknown if he lived at the residence."
The teen’s condition was not immediately released by authorities. There was no known motive for the shooting, officials said.
No other information was immediately available.
