Searchers using a bloodhound found a 10-year-old boy who went missing in Ojai on Monday, deputies said.
Sammy was last seen near Tree Ranch Road a little after noon. His mother went to the local fire station to report him missing.
He was found just before 7 p.m. less than two miles from his home, said Sgt. Kevin Donoghue, a spokesman for the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies, a search and rescue team and a helicopter were deployed to help find the boy, who has medical issues, according to Denise Saliva, spokeswoman for the Ventura County Sheriff Department.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance were not immediately clear.
