A hospital employee was kidnapped at knifepoint after work and later dropped off at an IHOP early Sunday morning.
The woman, who had just finished her shift at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, was leaving work around 8 a.m. when a man with a knife approached her.
He demanded her car keys and forced her to get inside the car, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.
The suspect later dropped the woman off at an IHOP on Arlington Street in Rancho Cucamonga.
Police were able to recover the woman's car in Pasadena using OnStar technology, but it is unknown if the suspect has been arrested.
The woman was uninjured, police said.
In a statement to NBC4, St. Bernardine Medical Center's President Darryl VandenBosch said that the hospital has increased its security personnel since the incident and reminded employees of additional safety measures.
