A Murrieta Valley High School teacher is under investigation for suspicious interactions with a student, authorities said Tuesday.
The woman, whose name was not disclosed because she has not been arrested, has taught at the school since last year.
Murrieta Valley Unified School District officials circulated notices to parents today, notifying them of the ongoing police investigation.
The police and school district were mum on what triggered the inquiry, confirming only that it involved the educator and a student.
The teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, officials said.
