As tensions continue to rise at colleges nationwide, NBC4 takes an in-depth look at the demonstrations interrupting everything from campus operations to long-awaited graduations.

When a nurse suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at her work, her co-workers at an Upland medical facility failed to give her CPR for over 7 minutes. NBC 4’s I-Team’s Carolyn Johnson reports. 

In a meeting on Tuesday, LAPD Chief of Police, Dominic Choi, said that the campus response at USC affected patrol throughout the rest of the city and the financial cost after several arrests is still not known. Eric Leonard reports for the NBC4 I-Team on April 30, 2024.

Governor Newsom’s office has yet to release a statement on the ongoing protests at UCLA and UC Berkeley. NBC Los Angeles’ Conan Nolan reports.

USC confirmed antisemitic symbols were found on the USC campus Tuesday, prompting school officials to investigate the incident. NBC Los Angeles’ Alex Rozier reports. 

17-year-old Brianna Soto is one of the young victims who were shot and killed in Long Beach in the first four months of this year. NBC Los Angeles’ Mekahlo Medina reports.

A Metro Rail train and a shuttle bus crashed on Exposition Boulevard near Vermont Avenue in Exposition Park Tuesday morning. 

Authorities appealed for the public’s help today to find the killer of a 17-year-old girl who was fatally shot near her home in Long Beach in March.

The parents of a 4-year-old Palmdale boy were sentenced each to more than 20 years to life in prison on Tuesday in connection with their no contest pleas to murder and torture charges stemming from their son’s July 2019 death.
