Makeup Mavens Gather for Beauty Summit

If you work in makeup, get up to speed on the latest advances at the mondo Makeup Show.
Typically when we hear that something is open to people in a particular industry -- say, travel agents or chocolate chefs or makeup artists -- our spirits droop just a bit, while recognizing that these conventions exist to help people grow in their professions and not merely to please our "what are we doing today?" whims. There are so many fantastic trade shows going on at any one time in Los Angeles, but this is such a major one, and there are so many people around town who call makeup their calling, we'd be remiss not to make mention of it.
The Makeup Show brings together the latest in products -- think zazzy shadows, barely-there lip stains, creamy bases and beyond -- not to mention top professionals to lead workshops on techniques like airbrushing and bridal makeup. The exhibitors run the glam-it-up gamut, from Eve Pearl to Model in a Bottle to the Alcone Company. And other things to help makeup-ing in general? They're there.
LA is, very often, about looking the best you can (all those rumors are true in that regard). So it is nice to know our beauty professionals are out there honing their beautifying skills. We know we personally can use all the help we can get.
