Apple's Siri Snarks About Google Glass

Apple's virtual assistant who talks in a computer-generated voice now has an opinion about rival Google Glass. Mistakenly call Siri by Google's moniker "Glass" and she will tell you that you have gotten it wrong.

"I'm not Glass. And I'm just fine with that," the app says, according to the Wall Street Journal. Among other responses are "Stop trying to strap me to your forehead . . . It won't work," and "I think that Glass is half empty," the Verge wrote.

Siri is known for a quirky personality that can tell a joke as well as play straight man (or woman) -- and that's aside from her misunderstanding commands. It seems that Siri doesn't care much for her competitor, a wearable computer accessory worn on the head like a pair of glasses.

Apple declined to comment on Siri's reasoning or new opinions. However, a Google spokesman told WSJ, "Siri, it’s not you, it’s me. You see, I just met Google Voice Search and fell hard for her. She doesn’t just listen; she understands me.”

At least this shows us that Siri is being continuously updated, even if it is just to slam the competition.
