FRIDAY, AUG. 6: That's the date of the grand reopening of Santa Monica Place, and, in addition to DJs and cake and ribbon-cuttery and other opening-day-type-to-dos, the shopping center will be giving the first 500 people who are lined up at its Third Street door a gift card. Amounts will vary, and there is some stuff to know before you go, like you have to be 18. Oh, and one gift card per person. That just goes without saying, yes?
