    How to Check Whether Your Car is Subject to a Recall

    California has more than 7 million vehicles on the road with open recalls, the most in the nation, according to Carfax.

    Many drivers might not be aware of recalls, but there are several ways to check. You'll likely need your car's vehicle identification number, located on the driver's side of the windshield.
