BREADBAR continues its popular Pop Up Chefs special dinners starting next Tuesday, February 24th through April 10th at the bustling Third Street location. Past guest chefs have included Ludo Lefebvre of Ludobites – where you couldn’t get a table for love or money. Next up is Chef Debbie Lee, a finalist on Food Network’s “The Next Food Network Star.” Her limited engagement event, “SeoulTown Tapas,” is a modern take on Korean pub grub with small plates. Highlights of the menu are robata-style skewer with kimchee citrus pork, roasted Fuji apples and Korean rice cylinders, maple xmoked bacon, jalapeno ponzu. Larger plates will be serving up slow cooked cod in a chile scallion sauce or spicy chilled buckwheat noodles with poached octopus – all inspired from Lee’s own heritage and the Korean pop-culture craze. Consider this a trial run as Lee plans to open her own Korean inspired pub later this year in LA. You heard it here first!
