Collection Previews: Dungaree Daze at 7 For All Mankind

Everyone knows that 7 For All Mankind is the grand daddy of this long standing designer jean wave. But the company is also an LA fashion pioneer, basically inventing that high-end California casual aesthetic that has spread like HPV (or something a lot nicer, but also very contagious) across the country. Plus, for the money, the label still offers some of the best fitting jeans on the market.

So, the denim company rightfully continues to draw faithful crowds to its events and this Wednesday's preview at Seven's Robertson store was no exception. Chaya sushi rolls (from across the street) and flutes of champagne were happily consumed by guests, who perused new silhouettes like Rocker (a low-rise straight leg), Josephine (a capri-length boyfriend) and Charlize (a more moderate bell). And though not that ethereal (because Seven tends to keep things basic), loose jersey tops are inspired by a "dream state" theme.

In the lesser known, but often striking bag department, beautiful oversized clutches abound (certainly a theme for the upcoming accessory season in general) alongside larger totes.

Seven is on the up and up, per usual . . .
