Residents in Huntington Beach are taking precautions -- including air horns -- after a string of coyote attacks.
Residents said five dogs and cats were killed last month.
The coyotes prowl in a canal behind the Sea Aira Mobile Home Park. Residents said there are at least two packs.
Fish and Game officials said they cannot trap the animals, so residents have come up with their own solutions. One resident said she carries an air horn when she goes outside.
"I can no longer walk around the park like I used to," said Wanda Sheeran. "We're like prisoners in our own home."
