Bees Take Over LA Communication Centers, More

LOS ANGELES: "Located at Beachwood and Melrose...paper maché bees nest?" writes a reader. Or perhaps this reader is one of the Queen Bees, and she is sending in a sign of the first offensive against the city, the bees taking out all communication outlets (cell phone towers will be next) in preparation for the attack. God help us all if the bees convinced the zombies to join them. Arm thyself with aerosol. [Curbed InBox]

DOWNTOWN: This weekend there's a free tour of downtown's Palace Theater. Via the press release: "Your friends at the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation invite you to join them at the historic Palace Theatre at 630 S. Broadway on Saturday Feb. 28 at 10:30am (doors open at 10am) for an "All About the Palace Theatre" insider's tour, presentation and historical overview/lecture. This FREE event is part of an ongoing series by LAHTF to provide the public with education and info about the architecture and history of the wonderful historic theatres that many people never have an opportunity to see. This has been a wonderful series on the Broadway theatres, so much great info and a fun experience for everyone who participates -- you won't want to miss it!" [Curbed Inbox]
