Your job: get to the bar. Our job: Help you find that perfect drink. This week, NBCLA's "Drink This" journey takes us out for...
The Red Engine: A libation with a swirl of grown-up ingredients like CRISM Organic Hibiscus Liqueur, lemon, and TRU Organic Vodka. Though it contains no grenadine, it is almost grenadine red (no surprise there; the red bit is in the name). The flowery notes appeal, too.
Who's pouring: Akasha in Culver City. The local-ingredients-loving restaurant serves up dishes like star anise-braised ribs and pepper-seared scallops. And corn succotash. And organic mac and cheese. Solid fall eating.
Price: $13
Giving Back: One dollar from each cocktail will go to the Firemen's Relief Association. The potent sip was just introduced on September 8th, so make for Culver City and be one of the first to drink it (and to donate).
