Sometimes, say, when one is driving down San Vicente in Santa Monica on a Saturday, or when glute-perfect guys and gals leave you in the dust on Runyon, it seems everyone in LA is fitness-obsessed.
Which may be why upwards of 20,000 toned, taut and (possibly) tanned attendees will descend upon the 7th annual Los Angeles Fitness Expo this weekend at the Convention Center.
There will be a lot of rock-hard abs in that room, we're thinking.
On Saturday and Sunday, January 23 and 24, our city's most fit (and fit-curious) will be congregating and browsing more than 250 exhibits featuring the latest in diet, nutrition, strength and wellness products and services.
The event is open to the public for a modest admission fee, so one of those fit-types could be you.
A full line-up of seminars and events are also planned, including a USFP Powerlifting Championship, an LA Open Martial Arts Competition and a Self Defense Techniques demonstration. There will even be a session with NBC's own "Biggest Loser" competitor, Shay Sorrells.
