Forever Fascinating: Hollywood Forever

Back in September we got to musing about all the graveyard tours that were scheduled throughout fall around LA. And now that October is here -- we'll call it downright October-y, in fact -- one of the major cemetery events of the season is due to take place.

We're referring to the Art Deco Society's annual tours of Hollywood Forever, which are happening on Saturday, October 10th. You may have patronized the Cinespia movie screenings over the summer -- seems like everyone did -- or the sunrise Bon Iver concert a few weeks back. But if you didn't get a chance to get acquainted with some of the residents of those hallowed grounds, this is an excellent opportunity.

And that those most excellent swells over at the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles are hosting the outings is a bonus. Count on learning plenty about about the cemetery's past and architechture, and the numerous stars who have chosen to remain at Hollywood Forever forever (Valentino is one luminary among many). We should also note both Peter Lorre and Mel Blanc, as well. Two fine performers.

We recommend visiting the ADSLA site ahead of Saturday, to secure a spot.
