Four Chiropractors, Fifth Man Charged in Alleged Worker's Comp Referral Fraud

Four chiropractors and an alleged conspirator are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on multiple felony counts of insurance fraud for what the Orange County District Attorney's Office alleged was a multi-million dollar workers' compensation insurance referral scheme that exploited mostly Spanish-speaking communities.

Charged Tuesday in Superior Court in Santa Ana were Fermin Alexander Iglesias, 38 of Glendale and chiropractors Bahar Danesh Gharib, 42, of Woodland Hills; Bryan Aun, 45, of Brea; Afsoun Naderi, 50 of Newport Coast; and Jon Larson, 45, of Rancho Cucamonga, according to the OCDA's office.

All five are due for arraignment on Thursday on charges of insurance fraud and face sentences, if convicted as charged, ranging from 11 to 14 years in state prison.

Ten attorneys and six conspirators were charged last year as part of the same investigation, prosecutors said.
