Four people killed in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Jurupa Valley were identifed as and one other person was hospitalized.
The crash occurred about 11:50 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and 56th Street, according to a statement from the Riverside County Fire Department.
Three people died at the scene and one other person was taken to a hospital with major injuries, the statement said. The names of the victims were not immediately available.
Witnesses described caved in vehicles at the horrific crash scene.
"Metal was twisted every which way," said witness Mandi Utesch.
Details about the cause of the crash were not immediately available.
