In case you haven't heard, basketball legend Magic Johnson's wife, Cookie, is now a denim designer. Her Los Angeles-based line, CJ by Cookie Johnson, is a denim label for curvy women who may have found themselves in Cookie's former situation: either not fitting into premium denim properly, or simply not fitting at all.
The folks at NBC LA stopped by Johnson's Vernon factory (the entire line is made in L.A.) to find out what's going on behind the scenes at CJ by Cookie Johnson — namely, crafting denim in stretchy fabrics with flattering seams and absolutely no heavy pocket detailing.
You can shop the collection locally at Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Saks 5th Avenue.
